Sail into History: Discover WWII Battleships on Your Pearl Harbor Adventure!

Tour Highlights:

  • USS Arizona Memorial
Start your journey with a visit to the USS Arizona Memorial, where the Pearl Harbor attack of December 7, 1941 is remembered. A short documentary film will introduce you to the events that led up to this pivotal moment in history. Afterward, you will take a ferry ride to the USS Arizona Memorial, where you can view the final resting place of over 1,000 sailors who lost their lives during the attack.

    • Witness the famous “Black Tears”, which are the oil droplets that still seep from the sunken battleship.
    • Important: Boat passes to the Arizona Memorial are not guaranteed. If pre-arranged passes are unavailable, you will be directed to the walk-up line for an opportunity to board.
  • USS Missouri – The Mighty Mo
Continue your historical exploration with a tour of the USS Missouri. Known as the Mighty Mo, this battleship served as the stage for the Japanese surrender that ended World War II. Walk on the Surrender Deck where General Douglas MacArthur and other dignitaries signed the official surrender documents on September 2, 1945.

    • Explore the interior of the ship, from the captain’s quarters to the gun turrets, and gain insight into what life was like for the sailors aboard this legendary vessel.
    • Visit the USS Oklahoma Memorial, dedicated to the sailors and marines who lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor.
  • World War II Museums and Exhibits
After visiting the battleships, you’ll have the opportunity to explore several museums and exhibits that provide in-depth information about the events of World War II. From personal stories to interactive exhibits, these museums will enrich your understanding of the impact of the war on the Pacific region.

  • Battleship Row and U.S. Pacific Fleet
As part of your visit to Pearl Harbor, you’ll also view the historic Battleship Row, where the USS Arizona and other ships were stationed during the attack. You will have a chance to see various vessels that make up the modern U.S. Pacific Fleet, which is still headquartered in Pearl Harbor today.

  • Punchbowl National Cemetery
Drive through the Punchbowl National Cemetery, set in the crater of an extinct volcano. This cemetery serves as a memorial to those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces and is often referred to as the Arlington of the Pacific.

  • Historic Downtown Honolulu Tour
Finish your day with a guided tour of Downtown Honolulu. You’ll see:

    • Iolani Palace – the only royal palace on U.S. soil, once home to Hawaii’s last monarchs.
    • Kawaiahao Church – one of the oldest churches in Hawaii, known for its coral block construction.
    • Aliiolani Hale – the seat of Hawaii’s judiciary and a familiar landmark from the TV show Hawaii Five-O.
