About Your Tour

While traveling to Pearl Harbor, our expert guides shared fascinating historical accounts of the events leading up to the attack. Upon arrival at the Valor in the Pacific National Monument, we were able to explore the museum filled with historical artifacts, documents, and memorabilia.

One of the most powerful experiences was the historic film featuring actual archive footage of the attack. It provided a poignant context as I prepared to board a United States Navy vessel for the ride across the bay to the Arizona Memorial.

Standing above the sunken battleship where 1,177 sailors gave the ultimate sacrifice, I was overwhelmed by the weight of history. I could see Pearl Harbor from the same vantage point as those sailors did on that fateful morning and pay my respects to the names of the fallen inscribed on the memorial. It was truly an insightful and unforgettable experience—one that should not be missed during any visit to the islands.

Historic Honolulu City Tour

Before returning to Waikiki, we also visited the Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific, where I learned about the sacrifices made by those who served. The historic tour of Honolulu featured buildings from the last Hawaiian monarchy, giving me a glimpse into Hawaii’s rich royal past.

We explored several of Honolulu’s most historic sites, including:

  • Iolani Palace: The only royal palace in the United States.
  • Aliiolani Hale: The former royal government building (and a filming location for Hawaii 5-0).
  • Kawaiahao Church: Known as the Westminster Abbey of Hawaii.
  • King Kamehameha the Great Statue: A significant symbol of Hawaiian history.
  • Historic Missionary Houses: Offering insights into the lives of the first Christian missionaries.
  • Hawaii State Capitol Building: A striking example of modern architecture.
  • What to Bring: Ensure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Bring a hat, sunscreen, and a camera to capture these unforgettable moments.
  • Accessibility: The tour is wheelchair accessible, but please inform us in advance for any special needs.
