New Pearl Harbor USS Arizona Memorial Shuttle Boat Queueing Service

Pacific Historic Parks is excited to introduce a new visitor queuing system for the USS Arizona Memorial Shuttle Boat at Pearl Harbor National Memorial.

Visitors who wish to visit the USS Arizona Memorial but couldn’t secure advance reservations for the shuttle boat ride on recreation.gov can now register at one of six new queueing stations. These stations are located near the Narrated Tours Desk inside the courtyard.

How It Works:

  • Free Registration: Guests can sign up by entering their party’s name, the number of people (up to six per phone), and their phone number.
  • Text Notifications: Visitors will receive a text message when it’s their turn to join the standby line at the theater.
  • Boarding Process: Once at the theater line, guests will use a QR code on their phone to check in, similar to boarding a flight.
  • Alternative for Non-Mobile Users: Visitors without a mobile phone or text capability can register at kiosks and monitor their queue status on screens throughout the park. At the theater check-in point, they can provide their queue number to an NPS Ranger for manual check-in.

Special Features:

  • Flexible Timing: Guests can request up to two extensions (15 or 30 minutes each) after receiving their standby line notification. This feature allows visitors exploring Pearl Harbor to finish their activities without losing their place in the queue.

Benefits of the System:

  • Comfort: Avoid standing in long lines under the hot sun, which can stretch up to three hours.
  • Exploration Time: Visitors can spend more time exploring, learning, and appreciating the history of Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial.
  • Enhanced Experience: This system improves the overall visitor experience by making the process more efficient and enjoyable.

This new service is fully funded by Pacific Historic Parks, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and is made possible through the generous support of Hawaii residents, donors, the visitor industry, and dedicated volunteers.
